Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Golf Course Mechanic to join our team in Carlisle, United States. As a Golf Course Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the equipment essential for the upkeep of our golf course.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory
- Collaborate with the grounds crew to address equipment needs and concerns
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements
- Assist in the training of staff on proper equipment usage and basic maintenance
- Manage the equipment maintenance budget and make cost-effective decisions
- Stay updated on the latest golf course maintenance technology and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) in golf course equipment maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of golf course equipment maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficiency in operating various golf course machinery
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Basic computer skills for maintaining digital records and inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in small engine repair or related field preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Understanding of golf course operations and maintenance practices
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on efficiency and organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
