SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Observes clients, makes recommendations, and assists with implementation by modeling interventions, coaching and providing instruction of intervention procedures under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans to support new and current clients under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Develops and conducts professional development for staff under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Develop instructional strategy materials (includes reports) to support the staff for current and new students.
- Assist in the onboarding process of new students at Sherwood Autism Center.
- Works in conjunction with the client’s service team to address client and agency needs/priorities.
- Develops data collection systems in collaboration with staff to track behavior and progress towards goals.
- Collaborates with outside service providers as needed for new onboarding students at Sherwood Autism Center.
- Participate in monthly consultation team meeting to discuss barriers and new initiatives from consultants.
- Develop and participate in presentations, workshops, and/or training for staff.
- Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
- Provide training, coaching, and consultation to external partners (e.g., community agencies and/or service providers) on behavior analytic principles and individualized supports under the supervision of a BCBA.

The Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) must be able to prioritize, organize and communicate with all levels of the organization. They should be able to maintain confidentiality, be a critical thinker, as well as be concise and detail-oriented. You must have a positive demeanor, and great customer service skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) position is located within our Special Education Department. You will be in the midst of activity and energy. This position is:
- A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more
- A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- US work authorization
- Bachelors degree
- Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with a Missouri License to practice Behavior Analysis
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Experience working in a school setting
- Experience supporting clients within a consultative model of ABA service provision
- First Aid/CPR certification
