Description
Objectives: The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth across all Licensed Key Accounts by developing and executing strategic account plans aligned with retail calendars, product launches, and licensing requirements. This role builds and strengthens relationships with buyers and key decision-makers, identifies opportunities to expand distribution and product assortment, and manages the full sales cycle from line review through sell-through analysis. The Key Account Manager maintains accurate forecasting, protects margin integrity, and partners cross-functionally with merchandising, operations, and licensing teams to ensure flawless execution and sustained account performance.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute annual strategic account plans to drive revenue growth, distribution expansion, and margin performance.
· Lead seasonal line reviews and presentations aligned with retail calendars and licensed product launches.
· Analyze sales performance, sell-through, and inventory data to identify risks and growth opportunities.
· Maintain accurate forecasts and provide regular pipeline and revenue updates to leadership.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, planners, and key decision-makers across assigned accounts.
· Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, product development, operations, and licensing teams to ensure on-time delivery and flawless execution.
· Handle day to day needs specific to each account, such as images, data entry, product information, etc.
· Monitor competitive activity and market trends within licensed sports and lifestyle categories.
· Proactively resolve account issues, escalations, and operational challenges to protect customer satisfaction and retention.
· Represent the company at trade shows and key customer meetings as needed.
· Continue and grow seasonal programs by managing multiple overlapping projects with several retailers
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- 3 years sales management experience or similar qualifications
3. Professional and Collegiate sports knowledge
4. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other programs
- Ability to manage many concurrent priorities.
8. Self-starter, goal oriented and ability to work under deadlines
9. Sales and marketing experience
10. Willing and able to travel
