Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager, based remotely in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA areaswill be responsible for managing current and potential customers across the Pacific Northwest territory (NorCal, OR, WA, ID, MT, AK), with a focus on Commercial Construction. This includes architects/engineers, power, gas and water utilities, broadband/telecom, waterproofing, contractors, and their supporting distributors. This is a remote outside sales role that requires frequent travel, strong business development skills, and deep knowledge of the commercial construction industry. The successful candidate will combine technical fluency with consultative selling skills to drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Meet or exceed sales targets by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Manage the full sales funnel, including prospecting, qualification, pipeline development, forecasting, and closing.
  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, lead follow-up, and face-to-face customer meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver customer quotes and proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms in collaboration with the Sales Director.

Customer Support & Technical Engagement

  • Provide technical and applications support to customers on the utilization and handling of company products.
  • Work closely with plant personnel, marketing, technical service, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction on quality, delivery, and service.
  • Attend and present at customer meetings, industry conferences, and training events as required.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Develop a thorough understanding of competitive threats, pricing trends, and alternative solutions in the marketplace.
  • Incorporate market intelligence into sales planning and account strategies to protect and grow market share.
  • Collaborate with Sales Director to formulate and implement regional growth strategies, penetration plans, and long-term objectives.

Reporting & Planning

  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in CRM, including call reports, project profiles, and account details.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to support annual and long-term sales budgets.
  • Review, understand, and utilize monthly revenue and receivables reports.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience in environmental remediation, industrial minerals, or inorganic chemicals.
  • Knowledge of environmental remediation industry terminology and regulations.
  • Experience with funnel management and proficiency in CRM software.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • High personal savvy with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
  • Travel up to 50%

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business Administration.
