Job Summary: 


The Audiologist plays a key role in improving patients’ hearing and communication abilities through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.

At LACENTA, this role goes beyond clinical testing — it’s about building trusted relationships, educating patients, and being part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to deliver outstanding care.


Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing and balance evaluations using audiometric equipment.
  • Diagnose hearing disorders such as hearing loss, tinnitus, and vestibular (balance) conditions. 
  • Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
  • Provide aural rehabilitation and counseling to patients and families. 
  • Educate patients on hearing conservation and protection strategies. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records, test results, and treatment documentation. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. 
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. 
  • Stay updated on advances in audiology technology and treatment methods. 

Requirements

 

Qualifications and Experience: 


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are reflective of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program. 
  • Valid state audiology license to practice. 
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred. 
  • Experience with audiometric testing and hearing aid technology.

Physical Demands: 


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to: 


? Sit for long periods at a time. 

? Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily. 

? Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs. periodically. 

? Travel to clinic locations or sites as needed.
