About the Role

Description

Writer/Editor
Where creativity meets clarity.

At Stampin’ Up!, we believe creativity connects people. Through beautiful products and inspiring experiences, we help people build community, share joy, and create something meaningful together.

Behind every project idea, kit instruction, catalog description, and promotional message is a team making sure the right information reaches the right people at the right time. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Writer/Editor who loves words, thrives in collaboration, and finds satisfaction in making things clear, accurate, and inspiring. This role sits at the intersection of creative copywriting and precise technical writing.  One day you might be writing promotional copy for a product launch, and the next you might be crafting step-by-step instructions that help customers confidently create with our kits and tools.

Our team supports our incredible demonstrator community by making sure customers have the information they need to buy, create, and share. The work moves quickly, which means we ask a lot of questions, partner closely across teams, and help each other get things right.

This role is a great fit for someone who is curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited about the products we share.

What You’ll Do

  • Exemplify Stampin’ Up!’s core values: We care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best, and we own it.
  • Write and edit timely, accurate, relevant, concise, clear, and compelling content.
  • Contribute communication expertise in collaborative project planning, decision making, and execution, ensuring the right message, right place, right time.
  • Ask effective questions to gather facts and establish context.
  • Create content with global market awareness, ensuring communication works structurally and culturally across markets.
  • Write and edit for different audiences, always keeping the demonstrator sales force in mind.
  • Write clear, user-friendly instructions that help customers confidently create with craft kits and tools.
  • Write promotional copy for marketing initiatives.
  • Write storefront copy for catalogs and customer websites.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

  • Comfortable working in an environment where things evolve and ambiguity can exist as the company grows.
  • Curious and proactive.  You go find answers instead of waiting for them.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working closely across teams.
  • Patient, flexible, and able to adapt as priorities shift.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Someone who naturally helps raise the bar for quality and clarity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience writing copy, developing content, editing, and proofing.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage projects, time, feedback, stress, and shifting parameters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience working within written/brand style guides.
  • UI/UX experience is a plus.

Perks of the Job

Here are a few of the other perks we offer:

  • A wicked-awesome benefits package (go ahead and compare)
  • A Friday dress code every day of the week (dust off those jeans)
  • Extreme crafting experiences (totally optional, but give it a try)
  • Paid personal time off… like, a lot of it (see: work/life balance)
  • Tuition assistance and 401(k) programs (company match, baby!)
