About The Company

The mission of Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS) is to provide high quality, family-oriented, community based primary medical and dental care, including a broad range of preventive health services to residents and visitors within the coastal areas of Southern Mendocino and Northern Sonoma Counties. Sonoma-Mendocino coast RCMS is a not-for-profit health center providing a full range of healthcare services at its three clinics located in Gualala and Point Arena. Services are designed to meet identified needs of the community services, are integrated with other existing healthcare services and systems, and are evaluated on a regular basis to assure that community health needs are being met. As a not-for-profit corporation receiving public funds, RCMS provides services to qualified permanent area residents on a sliding fee scale basis, as well as to patients with MediCal and Medicare coverage, private insurance and self pay status. RCMS opened in 1977, incorporated and licensed as a community clinic in 1978 and was designated in 1999 as a Federal Community Health Center 330(e). RCMS is designated by the state as an Interim Stabilization Facility, allowing the clinic to receive ambulance transports.

Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Environmental Services Facilities Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our organization. This role supports both our clinical locations and administrative spaces, ensuring that staff, patients, and community members experience a professional and well-maintained facility.

This position may also occasionally assist with cleaning residential properties associated with RCMS, such as temporary staff residences.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and understands the importance of supporting a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, clinical spaces, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout facilities
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces including door handles, counters, and equipment surfaces
• Maintain restrooms including stocking supplies and sanitation
• Restock cleaning and facility supplies as needed
• Assist with basic facility upkeep to ensure spaces remain organized and presentable
• Occasionally clean residential units associated with RCMS (e.g., temporary staff residences)
• Follow safety procedures and infection prevention standards appropriate for healthcare settings
• Report maintenance issues or facility concerns to management

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Comfortable working in healthcare and office environments
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical cleaning tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred due to travel between sites

Schedule

Part-time schedule with flexible hours. Some evening or weekend work may be required depending on facility needs.
