Salary: Contractor £18.38 per hour / Permanent £35k - £36k per annum

The Role

We are seeking a skilled precision grinder to work in our manual/CNC grinding department to deliver high quality low volume transmission components to the motorsport/aerospace industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

Set, operate, and create or edit programmes on the following machines:

  • Studer S33/Favorit (Fanuc)
  • Lambert bore grinder (Siemens control)
  • Jones & Shipman (manual)
  • Kellenberg universal grinder (manual).

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Previous precision grinding experience.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Basic PC skills to maintain and update electronic systems.
  • Good knowledge of grinding wheels, including grades, types, and grinding data.
