Carton Yard Loader

The Carton Yard Loader will work under general supervision and is responsible for loading and receiving supplies from field trucks and/or suppliers. In addition, they will scan and maintain inventory on their mounted computers (THORs) to ensure most up to date on hand inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and receive field trucks with supplies in a timely manner
• Receive supplies from suppliers in a timely manner
• Ensure supplies are properly rotated and notify supervisor when supply qtys. are low
• Maintain inventory qtys. are accurate with use of their mounted computers
• Assist with daily and/or monthly inventory counts
• Rotate inventory i.e. FIFO
• Ensure all unused, returned supplies are relocated to their proper inventory location
• Ensure assigned work area is clean
• Fill out daily equipment check list
• Adhere to assigned work schedule and be flexible to all possible schedule changes as needed
• Attend monthly safety meeting(s)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in agriculture cooling, receiving and shipping is preferred
• Minimum one year operating and driving forklift experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, continuing education may be required
• Basic knowledge of computers and warehouse inventory systems is preferred
• Basic math and English reading skills is required
• Able to correctly use radio frequency handheld devices is preferred
• Bilingual skills in English/Spanish always a plus
• Occasional travel may be required
