About the Role

Description

As part of electrical crew, you will be supporting our solar projects with a variety of daily tasks including, but not limited to:


  • Installing roof and ground-mounted photovoltaic arrays for residential and commercial applications.
  • Assisting with the installation of partial and whole-home backup power solutions including battery systems and generators.
  • Performing regular duties as assigned by the lead, such as: installation of conduit and wire
  • (including conduit bending), troubleshooting, system testing, equipment mounting, and maintenance/service as needed for new and existing clients.
  • Reading and understanding basic blueprints and equipment specs.
  • Regularly using hand tools and power tools appropriate for the job.
  • Loading/unloading/moving a variety of materials for the job.
  • Following directives and communicating effectively and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhering to safety procedures, policies, guidelines, and precautions, while ensuring the jobsite remains tidy and free of safety hazards.
  • Adapting to a variety of construction and jobsite conditions.
  • Any other project-related tasks that arise.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience installing residential and/or commercial photovoltaic systems preferred
  • Electrical related experience preferred, but not necessary as we will train the right person
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be punctual, motivated, aware, and meticulous
  • Must be open and willing to learn and also show initiative

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify electrical parts & components and keep up with the National Electrical Code
  • Must possess a general understanding of the electrical industry
  • Must demonstrate problem-solving skills and enjoy collaboration with team members and with other tradespeople working on the projects
  • Must have a basic knowledge of and safely use tools and equipment
