About the Role

The County Manager Assistant plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly by supporting the County Manager and front office functions. This position manages communications, maintains accurate records in internal systems, and helps drive administrative projects that support both local and main office teams.


Essential Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Support daily operations through front office coordination, including phones, walk-ins, and general inquiries
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation in systems such as Salesforce and MITC
  • Assist with administrative projects, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Support DSP staffing efforts, including communication, scheduling support, and outreach
  • Help ensure compliance by assisting with policy review and documentation practices
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with individuals served, families, staff, and community partners
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing records to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Contribute to an organized, responsive, and efficient work environment
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned


Work Environment & Expectations

  • This role operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with frequent communication and coordination. 
  • The position requires regular interaction with staff, individuals served, families, and community partners, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and support organizational growth.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively with staff, families, and community partners
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with data systems and recordkeeping, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Services or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD); 4+ years preferred
  • Experience in administrative support, coordination, or office management
  • Familiarity with compliance, documentation standards, or human services environments
