Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Work under direction of Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Communicate daily with Kitchen leadership regarding job assignments and required timeframe.
- Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of dining area.
- Maintain table settings by removing courses, replenishing utensils, and being alert to beverage needs.
- Prepare dining outlets for service, checking service stations and tables to ensure correct set-up and cleanliness.
- Resolve issues for any approaching guests in a professional and timely manner.
- Answer the phone and assist with guest seating, serving food or (non-alcoholic) drinks as requested.
- Handle all checks and cash according to procedures stipulated.
- Roll silverware, set up food stations or dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
- Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.
Requirements
- Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required.
- Ability to work on your feet in humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
- Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
- Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
- 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
