About the Role

Description

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for developing and managing commercial lending relationships within the community. This role focuses on originating, underwriting, and servicing commercial loans while providing high-quality financial solutions to local businesses. The Commercial Loan Officer works closely with credit analysts, loan operations, and senior management to ensure loans meet bank policies and regulatory requirements while supporting community economic growth.

  • Meet with customers to discuss the best financing for their needs.
  • Loan portfolio and deposit growth from commercial clients.
  • Responsible for soliciting, originating, analyzing, underwriting and coordinating the closing of business/commercial loans as defined by position in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Must be well versed in policies, procedures and processes for applications, credit reports, title work, flood reports, etc.
  • Cross sell Bank products and generate business to further develop account relationships.
  • Perform various operational functions, such as branch management, compliance, security, etc. Ensure that all Bank policies and procedures are followed by employees.
  • Serve on internal committees as assigned and external committees as determined.
  • Assist Loan Recovery staff with collection activities as necessary.
  • Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position. Additionally required to complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.  
  • Assume and accomplish other duties as assigned


Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred

1+ Years of commercial lending or credit analysis experience

Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance

Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement analysis and loan structuring
