Role Overview:
We are looking for a strategic leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the furniture industry to drive the vision and performance of our furniture division. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of furniture trends, materials, and supply chains. Extensive knowledge of mattresses and bedding products is a significant advantage, as this role will work closely with our core sleep product lines to create cohesive room solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Strategy & Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the furniture department, ensuring alignment with Sleep Comfort’s brand standards and financial goals.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the furniture sector.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adjust product offerings and inventory levels.
Product Knowledge & Curation:
Leverage extensive furniture expertise (materials, construction, styles) to curate a product range that complements our mattress inventory.
Utilize knowledge of mattresses and bedding to create bundled offerings (e.g., bedroom sets) that enhance the customer experience and drive higher sales.
Train sales staff on the technical specifications and benefits of both furniture and mattress products.
Vendor & Supply Chain Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with furniture suppliers and manufacturers.
Negotiate contracts, monitor quality control, and manage procurement to ensure optimal stock levels and profitability.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the furniture department team, fostering a culture of excellence and customer-centricity.
Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the team possesses the combined knowledge of furniture and mattresses required to advise customers effectively.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the furniture industry (retail, wholesale, or manufacturing).
Proven track record of managing a department, meeting sales targets, and leading a team.
Deep, demonstrable knowledge of furniture design, construction, and trends.
Strong preference (A PLUS) for candidates with extensive experience in mattresses and sleep products.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if experience is substantial.
