R&D Team leader ( no previous leading experience needed )

It’s a smart, insight-driven optimization platform that analyzes tons of ad data and turns it into real-time recommendations and insights for publishers.

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive R&D Team leader ( no previous leading experience needed )  to join our backend-focused R&D team and take a key role in shaping and building our scalable core systems.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior developer who wants to step into a leadership role for the first time, while staying hands-on and deeply involved in the technical work.

If you’re a strong technical professional with an architecture mindset and the ambition to grow into leadership, we’d love to meet you. Previous formal leadership experience is not required — we’re looking for the right potential, and we’ll support you as you grow into the role.

You’ll be at the center of our most strategic tech and business initiatives, driving innovation and delivering high-impact solutions.

This is a hybrid position, including two to three work-from-home days per week, with flexibility based on team and individual needs.

Our office is located in Kiryat Ono.

Requirements

• 8+ years of development experience
• Strong backend skills with a microservices mindset using Node.js or Python
• Strong experience in system architecture, or strong development experience with an architecture mindset
• Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Passion for building products that drive business value
• Clean coder, great communicator, proactive, and eager to grow into a leadership role
• Previous formal team lead experience is not required

Responsibilities

• Take a key technical role in a full-stack team working on our proprietary optimization platform
• Architect and build high-scale, data-centric web systems
• Be a hands-on technical leader: code when needed, mentor others, solve complex challenges, and help drive the team forward
• Collaborate with product managers who work hand-in-hand with our performance teams
• Balance rapid delivery with long-term architecture and stability
