The Proctor/Tutor is responsible for delivering quality education services by engaging students preparing for Tease and Accuplacer testing, fostering learning, and ensuring students are competently trained for HCI College admittance. Key duties include preparing course materials, delivering lectures, facilitating tutoring sessions, monitoring student progress, and reporting attendance and performance issues to Admissions staff.

About the Role

Description

 

Proctor/Tutor is responsible for the delivery of quality education services. This entails engaging students that prepare for Tutoring Tease and Accuplacer testing, fostering learning, role modeling professionalism, and ultimately producing competently trained students prepared for passing the Tease test for admittance to HCI College. This includes working with the Director of Admissions over the assigned cohort of prospective Students, as well as Future Cohorts of Prospective Students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Full-Time Proctor/Tutor must become ATI Champions within 90 days of hire date

· Prepare course plans and materials for Tutoring Tease/Accuplacer Exams

Delivering course lectures

Refresher Tutoring Sessions

Facilitating student engagement

Working one-on-one with students

Assessing students and providing developmental feedback on preparation of Tease/Accuplacer Exams

· Deliver courses

Deliver lectures

Deliver best practices for Testing

· Monitor progress and attendance

Direct and assess student progress in achieving Testing Content

Monitor student progress and follow-up as needed

Take and report daily attendance and enforce tardy and absence policies to Admission Reps/Directors of Admissions

Report attendance issues on Scheduled prospects for Tutoring/Testing

· Advise students

Answer student questions

Be available for one-on-one assistance/tutoring.

Identify at-risk students in a timely fashion.

meet with students.

implement an action plan for success.

provide weekly assessments, follow up, and evaluation of the plan.

provide weekly reports to Director of admissions. 

· Review of Records

Students who are in time frame to retest for Tease/Accuplacer and Contact those to get back in tutoring and/or testing

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is Required

Prior experience as a Tutor is Required

Must have background in High School level Math and Sciences

Bachelor's degree in education is Ideal and preferred

This is a Part Time position and requires Saturday hours
