Assistant Property Manager

Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

At CAF Management, Assistant Property Managers are key to keeping daily operations on track and residents taken care of. You’ll support the Property Manager with leasing oversight, rent collection, resident relations, and operational follow-through—ensuring the community runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.

This role is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, great with people, and ready to grow their property management career. Many of our Property Managers and corporate leaders began in this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with daily operations including leasing, resident communication, and service coordination
  • Help manage rent collection, delinquencies, and financial reporting
  • Support move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and resident events
  • Work closely with the leasing team to meet occupancy goals
  • Use Entrata to maintain resident records, prepare reports, and manage workflows
  • Respond to resident questions or concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Communicate regularly with the Property Manager and onsite team to support community goals

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Required:

  • Prior experience in multifamily leasing or assistant property management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Proficiency with property management systems like Entrata
  • Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and maintain a flexible weekday schedule

Preferred:

  • Strong financial acumen or experience with rent collection and reporting
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Previous experience with Class A or lease-up communities

Physical Requirements

This is an office-based role that involves regular interaction with residents and team members. Team members must be able to safely perform the following tasks:

  • On your feet: 15% to 33% of the time
  • Physical activities (10% to 33%):
  • Bend/stoop/squat/kneel (e.g., filing, accessing supplies, picking up materials)
  • Climb stairs occasionally to access upper-floor units or leasing tours
  • Push/pull, stand, and walk (e.g., tours, inspections, resident interaction)
  • Reach above shoulders (e.g., storing supplies, using office equipment)
  • Grasp/grip/turn and use finger dexterity (e.g., typing, writing, phone use)
  • Lifting/Carrying:
  • Over 25 lbs: Rare need (less than 1%)
  • 10–25 lbs: Occasional need (1% to 10%)
  • Under 10 lbs: Frequent need (10% to 33%)
