Miami Children’s Museum is looking for a reliable and professional Part-Time Security Guard to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our visitors, staff, and children at Liberty City Elementary School. This role plays a critical part in maintaining security across the school by monitoring the premises, preventing incidents, and responding quickly to safety concerns.

What You'll Do

Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and school property
Patrol the building and surrounding premises regularly
Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access points
Observe and report suspicious activity or disturbances
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents
Control access to building entrances and gates
Maintain detailed reports of unusual events
Provide first aid or emergency assistance when necessary
Support overall school safety and security operations

Requirements

Florida Class D Security License (required)
Previous experience as a security guard or in a related role
Knowledge of public safety procedures and security protocols
Strong observation skills and attention to detail
Professional demeanor and high integrity
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a Level II background screening (fingerprints) and drug test
CPR / First Aid / AED certification preferred
