Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking an Employee Payroll & Support Coordinator to assist with the processing of payroll, as well as employee benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and an understanding of HR processes, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time while adhering to compliance regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing
- Process employee payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Manage payroll discrepancies and address issues raised by employees regarding pay or deductions.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up to date.
Employee Support & Benefits Administration
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and benefits enrollment.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Maintain confidential employee records related to payroll and benefits.
Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure payroll complies with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing or HR support.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and employee benefits administration.
- Experience with government contractors or large employee organizations.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in handling payroll and benefits data.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication with employees and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve payroll-related issues quickly and accurately.
- Professional office environment (or hybrid/remote if applicable).
- Occasional travel may be required.
