This role supports the growth of the Chainflex product line across the US, Canada, and Mexico by providing electrical technical support and managing projects in close coordination with sales teams and Germany. Responsibilities include acting as the primary project manager/engineer on defined projects, assisting with pricing, and developing/delivering training programs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position shall be responsible for assisting in the growth of the Chainflex product line in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The position will be working closely with key customers, sales, and Germany to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide electrical technical support for US sales team
- Must be comfortable with all E-chain expert systems and online tools
- Working with Germany on a regular basis on projects and programs
- Keeping material knowledge up to date
- Act as primary project manager on projects as defined by the Product Manager including direct contact with customers, RSM’s, TSM’s, Inside Sales and Engineering
- Act as primary project engineer when electrical design work is required
- Assist in pricing both standard and custom parts to sales
- Develop and maintain training program for new hires and ongoing training plan and be able to provide training
- Assist Product Manager in Trade Show planning and coordination
- Assist in some marketing activities such as catalog and other printed materials
- Help coordinate direct marketing efforts in the department: Smart Pioneers, focused mailings, etc.
- Assisting the Product Manager with the preparation of both district sales meetings and National Sales meetings
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh between 25 to 50 pounds
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical design
- Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique using our products
- Self-starter; motivated, team focused, and results driven with developed organizational, and time management skills, ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their responsibilities
- Proactively identify challenges and find creative solutions
- Travel will be required to igus Cologne for an initial training program
- Additional travel to Trade Shows, with Regional Sales Managers or to Sales Meetings will be required, as needed
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
- Ability to travel within United States and Europe
