As a technician, the candidate is expected to carry out the following functions

1. Manage and maintain labs
2. Lab inventory management
3. Upkeep and regular assessment of all lab machines and hardware
4. Setting up new lab machines and hardware including Operating system and software installation
5. Recovering devices by downloading device firmware
6. Troubleshooting hardware issues
7. Tracking work in issue-management tool
8. Regular reporting via e-mails
9. Executing tests for nightly and release regressions
10. Analyzing and reporting test results for all regression test runs
11. Coordinating with development team members to get the issues fixed in the test executions
12. simple scripting via python, shell, bash

• B.Sc./B.E in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years' experience in the software and hardware support domain
• At least 3 years' hands on experience handling computer and electronic hardware devices.
• At least 2 years' hands on experience in Operating systems installations, configuration and debug
• Basic proficiency in simple scripting via python, shell or bash
• Good communication skills - verbal and written
• Experience handling SSD storage devices is a plus
• Experience working across geographies is a plus
