About the Role

Description

Our Conference Services & A/V Technicians serve leaders and guest groups with exceptional customer service by providing intentional meeting room set up and quality audio/visual support. By serving our guests, we are bringing God glory through creating memorable events and excellent service. By preforming these duties, you will be helping us to fulfill our Mission of "Impacting Lives for God's Glory through Purposeful Hospitality!"


Weekends & Holidays Required. Starting rate of pay: $16.00 per hour. 


Responsibilities

  • Set up, break down, and clean event meeting areas, including arranging tables, chairs, A/V equipment, and other furnishings.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks related to events, such as loading, unloading, delivering, and moving conference materials.
  • Under the direction of the A/V and Conference Services Manager, supervise summer and temporary staff during event operations.
  • Support specialized A/V responsibilities as needed, including operating equipment during events, audio recording, and managing equipment inventory.
  • Provide assistance to Program and Event Leaders with set-up details, last-minute changes, special event needs, and supply movement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of conferences and events.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively and resolve problems under pressure, maintaining focus and professionalism in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to learn audio/visual equipment, consistently delivering high-quality results across a variety of event settings.
  • Demonstrates patience, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor when interacting with program leaders, guests, and colleagues across all departments.
  • Capable of contributing as a collaborative team member while also producing high-quality work independently.

Education, Work Experience and Other Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds at times
  • Work on a computer for an extended period of time
  • Operate heavy equipment/machinery
  • Work at heights up to 100 feet on catwalk platforms and in lighting coves
  • Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead
  • Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis
  • Frequent weekend and evening work
  • Able to work in a variety of work areas
