The Patient Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient experience from the initial contact through treatment and follow-up. This role ensures smooth administrative operations in the front office while providing excellent customer service to all patients. The Patient Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for patients and plays a key role in managing appointments, patient flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient departure processes, including scheduling follow-up appointments, processing payments, assisting with insurance matters, reviewing treatment plans and ensuring accurate documentation. Provide a positive final interaction to support patient satisfaction and proper billing.
- Answer phones and schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments while optimizing provider time and accommodating patient needs.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
- Address patient questions and concerns professionally using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cross-train in claims processing and billing functions to support front-office operations.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency in office policies, systems, and best practices.
- Perform additional cross-trained duties as assigned by management to support efficient office operations, including assisting with special projects or events when needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a dental office preferred
- Claims processing experience preferred
- Experience with dental practice management software and scheduling systems (Eaglesoft preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
