The responsibilities of this position include answering incoming phone calls and assisting parents, the school district and other callers with questions related to bus routes, schedules and transportation services. The office assistant communicates with school bus drivers using a CB radio to relay messages and gather information while drivers are on route, ensuring timely communication between drivers, office staff and callers during peak transportation hours. The schedule is 6:30am – 8:00am and 2:30pm – 4:00pm. Work hours may vary slightly based on operational needs, transportation schedules or route delays.
Requirements
Candidates should have education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED; and customer service, communication and computer skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
