About the Role

Description

Phlebotomist (Float Position – Dallas / South Dallas)

We are seeking dedicated Phlebotomists to join our healthcare team. This position is a float role between two clinic locations, with part of the week scheduled in South Dallas and the remaining days in Dallas. Because this role requires regular travel between locations, dependable transportation and punctuality are essential.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing venipuncture procedures, explaining processes to patients, and maintaining accurate documentation of test results. Successful candidates will collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs and adapt to working across multiple sites within the metroplex.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect specimens via venipuncture or syringe
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot necessary equipment
  • Maintain accurate records for all specimens
  • Process in-house specimens and prepare/send out specimens as required
  • Utilize computer skills to order labs efficiently
  • Assist patients in feeling relaxed and comfortable during procedures
  • Adapt to workplace challenges, changing environments, and patient needs
  • Manage stressful situations with professionalism and compassion
  • Provide coverage between the Dallas and South Dallas locations as scheduled

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven phlebotomy skills.
  • Proficient in computer use and related software applications.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
