The Test Technician will primarily lead and perform various testing procedures on incoming assets, including electrical, X-ray, decap, and XRF testing, ensuring compliance with Rand's certification obligations and operating standards. This role also involves introducing new testing methods, maintaining equipment, preparing reports, and supporting receiving and inspection tasks as needed.

About the Role

Description

Role Summary


The Test Technician will report to QC  Supervisor and take on several roles at the company. The primary role of this person will lead  and work in the capacity of testing incoming assets and ensuring that proper  QC procedures are conducted in accordance to Rand’s certification obligations  and operating standards.


Essential Functions 

  

· Perform, and lead all testing jobs (elect/xray/decap/xrf/solder)

· Introduce testing methods / machines to fulfill company standard

· Support testing for A commodity products

· Responsible to maintain testing equipment in good condition

· Understand latest testing standard and communicate with other warehouses

· Prepare / approve testing report

· Support receiving / inspection when necessary

· Other duties assigned by manager 



Core Competencies 

  

· Computer hobbyist able to assemble  and upgrade computers

· Tech  minded with basic knowledge of boards, processors, etc.

· Ability  to follow all health and safety procedures/regulations as dictated by Rand and  the state 

· Organized with strong attention-to-detail

· Able to follow directions (written/verbal) with  good math and computer skills

· Good level in Microsoft Word, Excel and office; inventory  software skills a plus

· Good communication skills (must be able to read  and write English proficently)

· Ability to multi-task 

· Able to lift-up to 50 lbs. (heavier items with assistance)

· Flexibility  as overtime may be required


Requirements

· Electronics Engineering background  and/or equivalent.

· Understanding  of assembly process, wafer fabrication, and wire bonding preferred.

· Demonstrated  experience working with an electronic components company.

· Demonstrated  experience in distribution, logistics, and/or order management work history.
