American Electrician has proudly served the Colorado Springs community for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Salesperson to join our team and help drive our success into the future.


As an Electrical Salesperson, you will be responsible for expanding sales by evaluating customer needs, presenting products and system options, and providing customized solutions for electrical power distribution, lighting, wiring, and control systems. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and industry trends, as well as the ability to close sales while delivering exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to assess customer needs
  • Evaluate existing systems and provide recommendations for repair, replacement, or upgrades
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring understanding of system operation and any necessary maintenance
  • Provide detailed, multi-option quotes and discuss repair or upgrade choices
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services, upgrades, or preventative maintenance
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, new products & vendor offerings
  • Follow up on open leads and maintain strong pipeline communication
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned daily, weekly, or monthly performance goals
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, quotes presented, job progress notes, etc.
  • Safely operate and maintain assigned company vehicles, machinery, tools, and equipment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in electrical or home services
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, codes and applications
  • Experience with CRM software and digital sales tools
  • Familiarity with scheduling or field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Jobber, or similar) a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Must meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) eligibility requirements
