Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Associate for our Food & Beverage department in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you will be the face of our hospitality operation, delivering exceptional service experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure every guest interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and creates memorable dining experiences.
- Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service to all guests while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to changing demands
- Perform assigned duties across various Food & Beverage sub-departments or other hotel departments as needed, demonstrating resilience and a willingness to support team needs
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel services, facilities, and food and beverage menu offerings to effectively assist and advise guests
- Execute opening and closing procedures for assigned work areas with precision and attention to detail
- Recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives based on guest preferences and menu knowledge
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner; escalate issues to supervisors when necessary and ensure follow-up communication
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and surrounding spaces at all times, adhering to hygiene and safety standards
- Monitor operating supplies, minimize spoilage and wastage, and contribute to cost-effective operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and support collective goals
- Demonstrate empathy and inclusivity in all guest interactions, creating a welcoming environment for diverse clientele
Qualifications
- Service-focused personality with a genuine passion for food and beverage hospitality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to think analytically in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within team settings and support colleagues toward shared objectives
- Detail-oriented approach to work with strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility and willingness to rotate across different departments and adapt to evolving operational needs
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, service standards, and hotel operations (preferred)
- Previous experience in a guest service, food and beverage, or hospitality role (preferred)
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial integrity
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all work areas
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems (preferred)
- Multilingual abilities (preferred, particularly regional languages)
