About the Role

Description

 POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Manage Office Procedures and I-IRIS Administration Activities for the Department, with a concentration on the administration of benefits.

  •  Provide general management and maintenance of the HR-IS System including data entry of information.
  •  Assist in the maintenance of departmental files.

Assist in the screening and dissemination of resumes. Initiate contact with or respond to outside agencies upon receipt of correspondence as required or instructed. Assist in the coordination of training programs for all staff. 

  • Maintain good working relationships with staff members throughout the agency.  All other duties as assigned by the Manager, Human Resources.

Assist in Managing Human Resources for the Agency.

  • Advise staff on Human Resource policies and procedures
  •  Respond to regulatory agency inquiries
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Respond to staff inquiries according to procedure
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement projects
  •  Respond to audit inquiries in accordance with procedure

Plan and Manage Benefits Administration Activities for the Agency

  • Respond to staff inquiries relative to benefits, providing information and feedback as necessary or indicated.
  • Communicate and correspond with carriers and brokers to prevent and resolve problems and issues
  •  Responsible to coordinate Open Enrollment
  • Maintain departmental benefit administration files

Monitor and Manage Wage Administration and Related Activities for the Agency

  • Collaborate with the Payroll Department to ensure that payroll issues are avoided and resolved
  • Assists in monitoring Annual Performance Evaluation Process, including statistical reporting, outreach to department managers, etc.
  •  Responsible to create check request for invoice processing
  •  Support Events (Health Fair, Picnic, Holiday Party, etc.)

Responsible for the Compilation and Generation of Reports and Documents.

  •  Prepare informational materials for distribution.
  •  Collect, maintain, and prepare statistical data and reports that contribute to the operation and management of the department.
  •  Assist in the management of word processing of letters, reports and other documents for the department.

  •  Perform proofreading and research work.
  •  Prepare reports for internal and external distribution, photocopy and assemble material as required.

Attend Meetings and Seminars.

  • Attend mandatory in-service as indicated or assigned. • Attend deparü-nental meetings in accordance with schedule. e Attend committee meetings as assigned or required.

Requirements

  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates in human resources or related field or experiential equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience preferably in Human Resources (Additional experience may serve as substitute for part of the education requirement)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  •  Excellent analytical skills.
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum I-year experience working with HR-IS preferred.
  • Strong Customer Service Ethic.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all issues and staff. 
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English Language
