Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position is for snack bar line cook starting mid may going through mid September with a possibility to extend after the season. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to established standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including hot and cold appetizers, entrées, and side dishes, according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure freshness, quality, and proper portioning of all food products.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workstation.
- Follow proper food handling, labeling, and storage procedures.
- Plate and present food according to established standards.
- Serve and expedite orders promptly to maintain appropriate ticket times.
- Assist in managing workflow across stations to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Participate in safety programs and follow established safety protocols.
- Receive and inspect food deliveries and ensure proper storage.
- Assist with inventory control and ordering processes.
- Support menu preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as needed.
- Work flexibly across stations based on business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions accurately.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
