Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team in Waverly, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages and goods to customers throughout the Waverly area and surrounding regions. You will be the face of our organization, ensuring every delivery is completed on time and with exceptional customer service. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

  • Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies
  • Plan and execute delivery routes in a timely manner to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Load, unload, and transport packages and goods while ensuring proper handling and care
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including signatures, timestamps, and delivery confirmations
  • Communicate professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery-related issues
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage
  • Meet daily and weekly delivery targets while maintaining a clean driving record
  • Navigate local roads and traffic patterns in the Waverly area effectively
  • Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies prior to delivery
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Proficiency with GPS and navigation systems
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with delivery management software
  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns in the Waverly, Iowa area (preferred)
  • Previous delivery or driving experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance targets
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliability and punctuality
