Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer to support its workforce in Southfield, MI. As a DevSpecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening application security, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and advancing infrastructure automation within a security-first development culture. The ideal candidate will have experience with secure software development, Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure as code, and integrating security tooling into modern DevOps workflows. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an established DevSecOps team to continuously improve application security posture and operational practices across the enterprise.
- Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with integrated security scanning tools such as SonarQube and Mend.io.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate secure coding, pipeline development, testing, and automation efforts while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Expand and optimize automated security scanning workflows, improving coverage across a diverse application portfolio.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform to provision, manage, and secure Azure cloud resources.
- Ensure infrastructure deployments align with security best practices, compliance requirements, and organizational standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to development teams on secure architecture patterns, SOLID principles, clean architecture, and enterprise messaging implementations.
- Contribute to and enhance automated testing frameworks to validate functional and security requirements throughout the SDLC.
- Mentor development teams on secure coding practices and practical vulnerability remediation strategies.
- Support security automation initiatives and tooling integration, accelerating development while maintaining enterprise-grade security.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong programming experience in C# or Java within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance in Azure DevOps.
- Practical experience integrating security tools into build and release workflows.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, preferably in Azure environments.
- Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, clean architecture, and secure design patterns in enterprise applications.
- Experience with SonarQube for static code analysis and Mend.io for software composition analysis.
- Knowledge of enterprise messaging patterns and distributed, event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with container security, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
- Comfortable working at the command line, building automation, and developing internal tooling.
- Experience applying AI-assisted coding tools (such as Claude Code) to improve development efficiency, code quality, and security outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a security-first mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable, with enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
