BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the development and execution of both in-person and virtual exposition components for the agency’s annual convention, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Conduct research and data analysis on trade show operations, industry trends, and competitor events to recommend improvements in event strategy, floor plan design, pricing, and overall performance.
- Drive exhibitor recruitment and retention through targeted outreach, relationship-building strategies, and implementation of exhibitor engagement plans.
- Oversee vendor management processes, including RFP development, vendor selection, and coordination with service providers (AV, registration, transportation, expo services, etc.) for seamless event execution.
- Develop and implement customer service strategies, operational guidelines, and exhibitor resources to enhance the overall exhibitor and attendee experience.
- Analyze event performance through surveys, data tracking, and reporting; provide actionable recommendations to improve future event operations, budgeting, and program offerings
Position Specific Minimum Qualification:
24 mos. exp. in event & conference planning & marketing (e.g., onsite operations and exposition floor management: floor plan design, layout and traffic flow, meeting and tradeshow industry trends, practices & promotions, communication with exhibitors)
