Description
Perform preventive maintenance on knitting machines, repair machine stops and breakdowns flagged by Operators, and make style changes. Check runners, tighten warp collars, and keep bad end motors clean, replace worn machine parts, repair machine oil leaks, replace bad or broken needles, sinkers, guides, sliders, cover rollers, set guide bars, repair signal rollers, bad push rods/studs, selvage spreaders, and transmissions, replace bad guide bar slides/brackets, worn/frayed belts, bad boots/parts around boots. Change and time pattern wheels or chains, level guides, sinkers, needles and closing wires, set runners and take-ups, change ratios, check course counts, obtain samples, tighten warps, inspect machines for fabric defects, excessive noise levels, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; or 20-26 weeks related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
- Read and comprehend most documents such as safety rules, operating procedures and instructions.
