Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for enabling Account Executives (AEs) to operate efficiently and effectively by providing training, process support, and sales operations oversight. This role focuses on reducing friction in the sales process, improving workflow consistency, and supporting overall sales performance.
This position leads the development and maintenance of sales training materials, process documentation, and internal playbooks, while also supporting proposal and bid quality, contract compliance, and order processing. The Sales Operations Manager partners closely with Sales, Purchasing, Administration, and Accounting teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and timely execution across the sales lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and customer-focused, with strong communication skills and experience supporting sales teams in a fast-paced AV/IT or similar environment.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain sales playbooks, training materials, and process documentation to support Account Executives
- Serve as a primary resource for AEs (including new hires) on internal sales processes, tools, and workflows
- Train and support AEs on proposal generation, deal registration, and internal systems
- Document and maintain vendor deal registration processes, including SPA, registered, and volume pricing
- Partner with Sales and Purchasing teams to obtain competitive pricing from manufacturers
- Maintain and train to the Sales Handbook, providing guidance on internal processes and resources
- Support proposal, quote, and bid development to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Prepare and manage bid packages, including bid bonds, compliance documentation, and public sector requirements
- Maintain and prepare pre-qualification packages for general contractors, electrical contractors, and public entities
- Review proposals and bids for eligibility under programs such as CMAS, GSA, NCPA, or PEPPM
- Coordinate with Account Executives, Project Managers, and Engineers to support sales deliverables
- Verify and process purchase orders, contracts, and notices to proceed in coordination with Purchasing and Accounts Receivable
- Provide product pricing, availability, and order tracking support
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or errors in orders and pricing
- Support continuous improvement of sales processes and workflows
- Attend trainings and follow company standards as required
- Perform additional duties as needed to support sales operations
What You’ll Need
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, process improvement, training, or related roles
- Experience in AV/IT, technology integration, or similar industry preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF tools
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and CPQ systems
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience supporting complex sales environments, including bids and public sector work
- Experience developing training materials or sales enablement programs
