Breakfast and Afternoon Tea Server - Full Time, The Fearrington House Restaurant

Fearrington Village is an English-inspired property nestled in the idyllic countryside of North Carolina. Our southern hospitality is part of everything we do as we aim to make each of our guests feel welcome. 

Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

Seeking Full Time servers for breakfast and tea service.

Likely Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.

• 6:30am - 11:00am, generally, for breakfast.
• 12:00pm - 4:30pm, generally, for tea.

The Fearrington House Restaurant is a Relais & Châteaux property known for refined hospitality, seasonal cuisine, and an elevated guest experience in a charming countryside setting just outside Chapel Hill. Our service team is integral to delivering the thoughtful, gracious hospitality for which we are known.

Position Summary
We are seeking a polished, attentive, and service-driven AM Server to join our team for breakfast and afternoon tea service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys daytime hours, appreciates the details of fine service, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

From the first cup of coffee in the morning to the elegance of afternoon tea, this position plays a key role in setting the tone for a guest’s day at Fearrington.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service during breakfast and afternoon tea

• Guide guests through menus, including tea selections, pastries, and seasonal offerings

• Ensure precise timing and seamless transitions between breakfast and tea service

• Maintain a clean, organized, and elegant dining environment

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests

• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow

• Uphold the standards of a Relais & Châteaux dining experience

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience required; fine dining or luxury hospitality preferred

• Strong communication and guest engagement skills

• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, service-focused environment

• Professional, polished demeanor

• Must be reliable and available to work weekends (Thursday–Monday schedule)

• Early morning availability required
