Fearrington Village is an English-inspired property nestled in the idyllic countryside of North Carolina. Our southern hospitality is part of everything we do as we aim to make each of our guests feel welcome. 

Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

Job Description

The Belted Goat is a lively café and market at the heart of Fearrington Village, known for fresh, seasonal food, artisanal products, and a welcoming atmosphere. We serve a high volume of guests daily and pride ourselves on quality, consistency, and a strong team culture.

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working with a team, staying organized under pressure, and producing consistently high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute menu items for breakfast, lunch, and occasional evening service

  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards

  • Work efficiently during high-volume service periods

  • Keep a clean, organized, and well-stocked station

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

  • Assist with prep and closing duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Must be available to work weekends (Wednesday–Sunday schedule)
