Apparel Fashion Stylist and Sales Associate - Full Time

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Hourly compensation depends on experience

• After a 90-day probation period, the employee is entitled to the following:

Position Summary

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday (Full-Time)
Must be available to work weekends, especially Sundays

We are seeking a polished, engaging, and style-driven Retail Stylist & Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, enjoys building relationships with clients, and has a natural ability to create complete, personalized looks.

You will play a key role in delivering a warm, elevated shopping experience while driving sales through thoughtful styling and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, personalized customer service

• Style clients by creating complete looks with clothing and accessories

• Build relationships with repeat customers and develop a loyal clientele

• Drive sales through product knowledge, storytelling, and styling suggestions

• Maintain a visually appealing and well-merchandised sales floor

• Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory management

• Support in-store events and promotions

• Uphold the Dovecote brand aesthetic and Fearrington standard of hospitality

Qualifications

• Previous retail or fashion experience preferred

• Strong sense of personal style and understanding of current trends

• Passion for helping others feel confident and well-dressed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Must be reliable and available to work weekends, especially Sundays

At least 2 years experience as a stylist with retail sales 

Strong customer service skills

- Self-motivated with the ability to build and maintain personal clientele

- Possess an optimistic, positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to lead and be led

- Operate the register to facilitate transactions

- Read and collect data through our inventory technology

- Boutique maintenance

- Balancing the daily business financial records

- Generally, requires standing and walking for the entirety of shift
