Job Title: Indirect Funding Specialist

Department: Indirect Lending

Reports To: Team Lead, Indirect Lending

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Prepared Date: March 2026

Location: Onsite (350 Salem Turnpike)



SUMMARY 

The Indirect Funding Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for dealerships regarding funding. The Indirect Funding Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional service while supporting efficient funding operations. Responsible for processing funding packages and performing related administrative duties under the direction of the Team Lead of Indirect Lending, in accordance with established policies and procedures. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate effectively with the funding team to ensure timely loan disbursements while maintaining accuracy and compliance with all policies and regulations. 
  • Reviews loan packages and determine steps necessary to complete processing and funding in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Process dealer reserve chargebacks and execute dealer reserve and loan disbursements. 
  • Builds and maintains a good rapport with the existing dealers of the indirect program.
  • Correspond with dealers to obtain all necessary contracts and other required documentation to eliminate funding delays quickly and efficiently.
  • The position requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask to maintain service levels for funding.
  • Continually engage with Loan Operations regarding indirect quality control concerns. Responsible for addressing any quality control issues and providing resolutions.
  • Keeps up to date on the auto industry through reading trade publications of auto values and news affecting the industry.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements including, Fair Lending, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and any other applicable federal, state, or regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall success of the indirect lending program.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to analyze Federal tax returns.  
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  
  • Basic understanding of NCUA and other applicable operating regulations, and various changes in laws.
