About the Role

As a Tour Guide in our legendary music venue, you’ll serve as a storyteller and cultural ambassador, sharing the rich musical heritage and history of our venues. During engaging walking tours, you’ll entertain tour groups with approved facts and stories about legendary artists, performances, and venue history. Our venue is an active live entertainment destination, and tours move through spaces that host nightly performances, offering a dynamic setting where history comes alive. As the ideal candidate you are outgoing, reliable, and passionate about our music legacy.

  •  Present high-energy, entertaining, scripted tour while escorting groups through the facility. Actively engage the guests throughout the tour while communicating approved information.
  • Collect and scan tickets from individuals or groups. Provide confident and friendly directional guidance to guests.
  • Respond to questions about the venue. Distribute brochures, coupons, and general information. Share your interest in upcoming events in our venues.
  • Manage and maintain tour equipment. Keep listening devices and radios charged and clean. Operate video equipment to accompany tour presentations. Report issues to management.
  • Maintain exhibits to the highest degree of quality. Communicate with venue leadership to ensure proper maintenance and repair of the physical facility and contents.
  • Ensure that tour guests are presented with a photo opportunity.
  • Ensure that guests stay with the tour group. Present clear instructions, directions, and safety guidelines throughout. Support security in protecting assets and ensuring the safety of guests.
  • Assist management in opening and closing duties as assigned, including turning on lights, positioning ropes and stanchions, setting up tour videos, and other assigned tasks.
  • Model company service basics. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

Experience

Previous customer service and/or public speaking experience preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have good public speaking skills Good oral and listening communication skills required
