Ready to take the next step in your commercial career? We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to manage and grow existing customer accounts across Victoria. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering practical technical solutions, and identifying opportunities to create value for customers while driving profitable growth.
About the role:
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts by delivering professional account management, technical service support, and value improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, this role combines account management, new business development, and hands-on technical service, ensuring customers receive safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions while strengthening long-term partnerships.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to ensure retention and profitability
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing customers
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams
- Conduct regular customer reviews, reporting, and pricing management
- Lead return on investment (ROI) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical service support, including installations, maintenance, and breakdown assistance
- Train customers on products, equipment, and safe chemical handling
- Coordinate service technicians and contractors to meet customer needs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
What you need to be successful
- Degree in chemistry, science, or a related field OR minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role or industry
- Experience in sales, service, or account management roles
- Background in hygiene, cleaning chemicals, hospitality, foodservice, laundry, or related industries
- Strong relationship‑building and customer engagement skills
- Understanding of chemical handling and workplace safety requirements
- Technical aptitude with experience working on equipment or systems
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to travel occasionally as required
- Current Australian driver’s licence
