As one of the largest health care providers, we have a sole focus on patient care and will invest our resources being YOU! We will provide onsite training to ensure that we build skill and confidence to become the midwife you want to be.
We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses who would like to gain a Registered Midwife qualification, to join us on the 2026 Student Midwife Employed Program. This opportunity will enable you to be paid whilst gaining the clinical experiences and academic requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Midwifery at UNDA.
You will be offered employment on a permanent part time basis, working as a Registered Nurse/Student Midwife, with access to paid study leave.
While a place on the Notre Dame University Graduate Diploma in Midwifery course is guaranteed for successful candidates, the enrolment into the course and payment of course fess is arranged directly with the university and is the responsibility of the participant.

The Requirements:
- Required to be enrolled or eligible to enrol in the 2026 midyear intake of the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at the University of Notre Dame
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- At least one year post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
- It is an expectation that you will remain employed as a Registered Midwife at St John of God Health Care for 12 months post completion of qualification
