Job Description
Within the Griffith School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work, our researchers and HDR students are working to address real-world health challenges and improve lives and communities.
The Griffith School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work is seeking a dynamic and motivated Administration Officer to play a key role in supporting the School’s growing research activity. Working closely with the Deputy Head of School (Research), academics and HDR students, you will help support a vibrant research environment.
Here’s how you’ll make it matter:
- Support early, mid and senior researchers with the administration of research initiatives and activities
- Assist with the coordination and support of HDR students and research programs
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Deputy Head of School (Research)
- Coordinate research meetings, workshops and events that bring together researchers and students
- Contribute to efficient administrative systems, reporting processes and data management that support research performance across the School

- A proactive and curious mindset with an interest in process improvement and smarter ways of working
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with academics, professional staff and research students
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
