Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling ZLD plant operations to ensure optimal performance and process stability.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with operational procedures, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance of ZLD equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • You will be responsible for tracking effluent quality parameters and ensuring treated water meets regulatory discharge standards.
  • You will be responsible for optimizing treatment processes to improve water recovery, reduce chemical usage, and enhance overall system efficiency.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and implementing energy and water conservation measures to support sustainability goals.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining accurate operational records and generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as effluent quality, energy consumption, and chemical usage.
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues, ensure data consistency, and support continuous improvementinitiatives.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in Science (Chemistry, Environment) / Chemical or Environment Engineering or related field is mandatory.
  • Certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Lead Auditor Certification, Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO), Certificate in Environmental Social & Governance (ESG), or equivalent is preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3+ / 5+ years of experience (preferably in pharma/chemical manufacturing).

  • Exposure to Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQM) station monitoring, and data management for sustainability reporting is preferred.
  • Experience in waste disposal and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)/Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)/Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) operations is desired.
  • Exposure to online compliance systems like PCB Environment Management System (EMS) and hazardous waste tracking/barcoding processes is preferred.
