About the Role


 

Summary/Objective 

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of assigned projects while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitment, and goals of the organization.  

 

Essential Functions 

  • Manage a team while providing strong mentorship and leadership.
  • Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and allocates resources/delegates tasks accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables.
  • Present to executive leadership team reports on project status and progress.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments to provide training and information required for new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Competencies and Basic Requirements 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position has supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Work Environment 

This position operates in both a field environment at job sites with occasional office work.  

  • This role entails routine driving between multiple worksites. 
  • Work near light/heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
  • Work outside in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.

 

Physical Demands 

Must be able to lift and carry at least 40lbs. for 100-linear feet without assistance. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings/early mornings, weekends, and holidays.  

 

Travel 

No travel is expected for this position.
