About the Role

Description

Production  Manager with Fencing  Supply Group Acquisition, LLC (Elburn, IL)

 

Develop and implement gate shop safety standards (policies around what each gate shop must have and rules that cannot be broken). Direct leadership of the Elburn, IL gate shop. Maintaining a clean and organized plant. Lead the plant safety initiatives through the participation and development of safety training programs, plant safety meetings, safety audits and by encouraging employee involvement through safety suggestion and recognition programs. Lead the plant quality initiatives through lean product improvement plans, the implementation of corrective actions from customer or internal complaints, coordinating new product qualifications, statistical process control, and scrap material reduction. Manages production efforts to meet delivery goals and provide excellent internal and external customer service. Develop and implement daily shop floor rhythms to set goals, review performance, and support/engage with team. Interact with Engineering and Drafting to ensure drawings have sufficient information to minimize defects in manufacturing and develop welding procedures and maintain welding training matrices for employees. Plan, schedule, manage, and optimize gate production across the gate shop footprint. Maintain and manage gate backlog with appropriate dates. Own order management processes (Dates, BOMs, planning, sourcing, etc.). Lead weekly gate production meetings to schedule gates across all facilities. Capacity Planning. Maintain published gate lead times for quoting purposes. Track customer fulfillment metrics and review (OTD, throughput, productivity).

Supervises 1 Welding Supervisor and 8 Welders.


Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field. Requires 3 years of experience. Required experience in each of the following skills: Production planning systems MRP/ERP and Infor; Working in large data sets, building reports, and performing excel analysis to visualize data for decision making; Scheduling / Planning experience including data management (sales orders and purchased materials); Establishing and tracking KPIs/Metrics; Quality and Continuous improvement including supply chain, lean manufacturing, and six sigma; Experience as supervisor or as production team lead; and Sourcing/Purchasing.


Salary $109,782 - $135,000 per YEAR
