Position Summary
The Press Support role is a critical part of our production team, assisting Press Operators in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels that meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Press Operators with press setup and production runs
- Read and understand job jackets and customer specifications
- Stage materials and equipment for efficient press setup
- Perform press make-ready, including loading/unloading cylinders, inks, dies, and materials
- Set up and assist with auxiliary press equipment
- Pull and verify raw materials from inventory
- Remove finished rolls and prepare stock for the next operations
- Perform press wash-ups and maintain the cleanliness of equipment
- Support rewind or other departments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6–12 months of manufacturing or printing experience preferred
- Flexographic or label printing experience is a plus
- Ability to read work instructions and job tickets
- Familiarity with basic hand tools preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good attendance and reliability
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must pass background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements
This role works in a manufacturing environment and requires:
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment
- Strong visual ability, including color differentiation
