About the Role

Description

North Austin Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Front Office Patient Services Representative to join our Cedar Park office location at 1401 Medical Parkway, Building B, Suite 100, in Cedar Park. Core Duties: 

  • Greet all patients upon arrival in a professional matter and present helpful first impression for the practice 
  • Perform check in, check out medical office procedures 
  • Route parents’ medical inquiries/triage calls to nurses, with corresponding patient charts
  • Schedule all patient appointments for the office, both new and follow up 
  • Obtain patient information and update established patient demographics and insurance information
  • Verify patients’ insurance benefits on all visits
  • Maintaining the front desk office area and waiting room are clean and organized
  • Additional administrative duties 

Soft Skills: 

  • Ability to employ tact, diplomacy, and compassion in addressing issues and patient needs is required
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal--are required
  • Ability to relate to children 
  • Must possess excellent time management skills 
  • Well Organized and punctual

Hours: 

  • Full-Time 
  • Monday thru Friday shifts from 7:40am -5pm, with one Saturday morning shift every 4-6 weeks

Requirements

The ideal candidate will work within a front office position as the first-line of customer service in a medical office. The candidate will often be referred to as the ‘face of the practice’. The Front Office Patient Services Representative greets the patient and will provide the clerical and financial services during the patient’s visit. The Front Office Patient Services Representative candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task in this busy office setting. At least one-year previous medical office experience is preferred for this position. Candidate must also have great customer skills, be a team player, and the ability to relate well to children. The shift availability for this role at the Leander office is Monday thru Friday shifts from 7:40am -5pm, with one Saturday morning shift every 4-6 weeks.
