Kayzen is a B2B SaaS platform that enables companies to run mobile in-app programmatic marketing in-house. In simple terms: we help companies automate the buying and selling of digital ads in real time — while giving them full ownership of their tech stack and performance data. The Role
Based in Berlin (at least 3 days/week in-office),you’ll be the operational backbone of our People function - ensuring smooth HR processes across the employee lifecycle while also helping maintain an organized, welcoming office environment. You'll partner closely with People, Finance, and leadership team to create a seamless employee experience from pre-onboarding to offboarding.
Your Responsibilities & Impact
People Operations
- Own HR processes across the employee lifecycle (pre-onboarding to offboarding)
- Prepare employment documents (offer letters, contracts, reference letters)
- Manage payroll input and collaborate closely with Finance team
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential personnel records in our HRIS (Personio)
- Coordinate performance review and feedback cycles (via Leapsome)
- Improve HR policies - because "that's how we've always done it" isn't good enough
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR reports
- Ensure compliance with German labor law and workplace regulations
Office & Culture
- Act as the go-to person for Berlin office operations
- Manage office supplies, vendors, and general administration
- Organize company events, workshops, and team gatherings
- Support workplace safety topics and external service providers
IT Coordination
- Manage equipment logistics for onboardings and offboardings for our global team
- Coordinate user account setup and basic IT logistics
- Liaise with external vendors when needed
- You don't need to be an IT expert - just the person who gets things sorted

- Payroll, documentation and reporting are always accurate and on time
- Employees feel supported throughout their lifecycle
- Our Berlin office remains an organized and welcoming space
- Processes are continuously improved, not just maintained
You Might Be a Great Fit If You
- Are based in Berlin and can work in-office at least 3 days per week
- Have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in People Operations / HR Generalist roles
- Have experience in a fast-paced, international environment
- Have experience automating processes and integrating AI into your daily workflow
- Understand German employment law and HR best practices
- Are structured, detail-oriented, and highly reliable
- Communicate fluently in German and English
- Enjoy taking ownership and working hands-on across HR and operations
- Feel comfortable coordinating basic IT topics or external vendors
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in HR or related fields
