Description
The Registered Dental Hygienist delivers preventive dental services including cleanings, periodontal care, fluoride treatments, sealants, and radiographs. They assess oral health conditions, document findings, and collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans. The RDH educates patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and the connection between oral and overall health. Working in an FQHC setting, the hygienist prioritizes culturally competent care, serves patients regardless of ability to pay, and may participate in community outreach, screenings, and public health initiatives. Compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations is required.
Requirements
Must hold a current state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist and maintain active CPR certification. This position requires flexibility, as services will be provided at multiple sites, including Perry County Dental Clinic and Three Rivers Community Health Group–Hickman.
